Thermal-Cure Systems
There are a variety of thermal-cure coatings as well as a variety of use cases; off-shore marine environments, on-shore drilling, aerospace, agricultural, and municipal, non-stick coatings for food processing, plastic and rubber molds.
XYLAN/FluoroPolymers
A fluoropolymer-based thin film coating. Generally used to reduce friction, improve wear-resistance, and non-stick applications. It also provides corrosion resistance. Typically fasteners or threaded areas would be coated.
Whitford Xylan™, EM Corporation™, Hempel™, Intech/Dupont™ and many others according to your company's coating specifications.
Sermagard/Ceramics
Provides superior corrosion protection and resistance to UV degradation. It provides high temperature resistance up to 1600 degrees Fahrenheit, and erosion resistance from salt exposure to oil and gas components in sub-sea, splash-zone, and topside environments.
Praxair’s Sermagard is a licensed product, only available to approved suppliers. Bricco is one of the few in this region of the United States allowed to apply it.
MOLYBDENUM DI-SULFIDE
Combination of molybdenum-disulfide dry lubricant and high performance resins. Typically used in applications that require a lubricant that remains nonreactive during use, and remains intact. Made by various manufacturers, we offer different blends depending on application and specification.
Powder CoatingS: Functional and Decorative
Typically used for decorative finishes. There are some functional coatings such as Ryton®, Kynar®, Peek®, Halar® and others which are chemical resistant. Kynar® is chemical resistant but also lightweight and heat/wear resistant. Halar® has a broad use temp range, and excellent abrasion and impact resistance. and one of the most popular of the thick film powder coatings with a broad chemical resistance range. BriCCo Metal Finishing also offers multi coat powder coating systems using a two or three coat system that can replace many of the old 2 and 3 coat painting systems typically used for Sub Sea and Top Side. Consult your BriCCo Coating Representative for specifics for your next project. These new systems offer faster turn-around times and cost reductions.
Fusion-Bonded Epoxy
Fusion-bonded Epoxy is an epoxy-based powder coating that is widely used on pipeline segments and connectors. Provides an effective long-term way to protect against buried corrosion from both the earth and saltwater environments. 3M ScotchKote, among others, can be cured and repaired in the field.
